Seemingly unoccupied small nest among weeds at the side of a rough track next to a hedge. If it can be determined from the photo I wonder what bird would have used the nest (assuming it is a bird's nest).

But which bird is really hard to say. It's probably too small for a blackbird. Dunnock, perhaps? One of the warblers? I wouldn't care to put money on it ;-)
If I was to push the boat out I would have a go at Whitethroat, it looks right and the location is good too.
How much are you putting on it? Are we talking folding money here?
