Cladonia cristatella is a N American species, not British. There are loads of similar Cladonia in Britain and you can't usually tell them apart from pictures.

It's either...

C. polydactyla or C. floerkeana in my view. A clearer view of the surfaces of the podetia would help.

Most Cladonia observations posted on iSpot are confidently identified to species from photos alone, and many of them by experts.
