Did you happen to notice any

Did you happen to notice any smell coming from the secondry fungus. If curry like scent then it is ''fenugreek stalkball'' if no scent its one of the slime-molds.

I would enter these pictures again indicating that you are not after confirmation of Ganoderma. Phleogena faginea is quite a uncommon species, well its under-recorded at least.
