Description:

Reviewing my stormy day pictures I found this.
I don't remember taking it but it is in a series of fulmar and black-back pics.
I think it's a young Gannet - I HOPE it's a young gannet because I've committed myself!

I'm sure you're right - two more agreements amd I will agree!
It's an unusual posture, isn't it?
I think I would have remembered properly if it really was a Gannet, but then they are breeding here now.

I think it looks like a Fulmar, to be honest! And you can see the white head and dark round the eye and the shape of the beak. Wings are too short for Gannet, too. All adds up to a Fulmar.
