Description:

Dark-coloured, cone-shaped fungus with some ring bands on curved surface. Growing on birch trunk. Underside is pale-coloured with lots of pores. Possibly Fomes fomentarius

Identifications

good find and ID the number

good find and ID the number of times I have corrected people misidentifing Phellenius and Ganoderma as this species, makes a refeshing change to agree with someone lol
