Description:

Orange-tipped white stalks with black bases growing out of tree stump. Possibly Xylaria hypoxylon.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

I have never seen them with that orange colour, I wonder if its a result of a rust or smutt fungi parasitising it. Where's Flaxton when you need him ;-)

Identification and third image added.

Thanks for help with identification. You mention orange colour so I've added a third image of the tree stump showing orange on more of the stalks.
