Description:

I am hoping this is a Striped Venus Clam (Chamelea gallina) shell but I have a few lookalikes in my books.
This one found on the North Sea coast of Orkney.

I was wondering whether to post this as 'Other Organism' as it is a SHELL not a creature.. Anyone?

Yep, perfect. To be honest I'd forgotten this.
But now we have to investigate Chamelea striatula!
