Description:

On Parthenocissus quinquefolia. Thallus blue-green, granular looking, testing C-. Apothecia convex, 'juicy', black, paler and translucent when wet, with a pale thalline margin that becomes excluded at maturity. Paraphyses simple, swollen at the apices. Ascospores colourless, oblong(ish), mostly 3-septate, 12-23 x 4.5-5.5µm.
