Description:

First thought was this might be Dead Man's Fingers but I really have no clue about sea sponges and that could be way off. Interesting little structure found on the beach, fresh and spongey.

'Dead Mans Fingers' as I have

'Dead Mans Fingers' as I have mentioned above isnt a sea sponge at all- did a quick google and it can be either a sea weed (Codium fragile) or a fungus (Xylaria polymorpha) but as far as I know not a sea sponge.
