Description:

Seen in moving group of Yellow Hammers and Cirl Buntings. Wouldnt stop long enough for decent ID

Thanks Ian. I have seen these here before but am always unsure about ID.They have the dark cap and the dark bib and mix with the other buntings but I guess thats allowed.

Moustache

Buntings can be confusingly similar, especially your female Cirl and Yellowhammers. The clear white moustache of this bird would never be found on anything but a Reed, though. It's a winter male.
