Description:

Free, crouded and differing length gills lacking the dark brown edge of P.umbrosus.
Cap (10cm) broard, umbonate, densely covered in radially aligned fine brown fibrils(not scales)margin slightly incurved.
Stem (8cm) round, equal, brown not scaley becoming floccose and palid towards base.
Growing on Conifer deadwood.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
