Leaves

The leaves look rather broad for L. vulgare and if planted is more likely to L. ovalifolium.

I was thinking that...

... it does look more like L. ovalifolium.

As well as being broader in the leaf, if you took the photo today, then it is holding onto the foliage rather better than I would expect from L. vulgare, which is described as "deciduous to semi-evergreen".
