Description:

I noticed these small black bits sticking out of a dead deciduous branch and thought they were probably a type of lichen, but am not sure which species.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
