I noticed this ant find something under the bark at the top of a tree stump and managed to grab a shot as it made its way down the stump heading back to the nest.
No interactions present.
At first glance I wondered if the ant was carrying an ant larva, but there seem to be distinct legs on this larva, so I think you're right that it has found some other insect larva (beetle?) and may be carrying it back to the ants' nest.
