....to move to invertebrates - get more expert help there. Go to edit and choose invertebrate

Caterpillar

I agree that it is probably a noctuid moth, though not one I recognise. It may be a non-native species introduced with produce or flowers. It would be interesting to attempt to breed it out. It may well be polyphagous on a variety of "low plants".
