Description:

Found this morning on one of the garden pond plants. There are eight frogs in the pond but this doesn't look like the normal frog spawn. Neither does it appear to be toad spawn.
Suggestions gratefully received.

Can't really see from the photos, do they have embryos in the centre? If they don't, they are not amphibian eggs.

Aquatic eggs

They are very strange - the ones in the left photo do appear to have embryos in the centre, but the one's in the right photo just have the appearance of grey cotton wool. Sorry but I can't think of any other description.
I'm totally baffled and I'm not inexperienced when it comes to identifying things wildlife.

I'm not sure they are

I'm not sure they are amphibian eggs and they are definitely not a British species. There are some introduced amphibians which have similar eggs. You could try putting it into the unknown organisms category and seeing if anyone can help there. Or bring some in in a tank and see what hatched out.
