date is approximate. Insect was photographed on Burdock. unsure even if this is an adult!
Bright green with clear wings (darkish veins) and a distinctive 'mantis like' face.

ID Features

Hi Ben, I'm no expert on Sawflies but i think it comes down to the black markings on the abdomen and the side of the thorax and to compound matters some sources say these are variable as well. Regards Chris.
