I couldn't get a decent shot for years but just lately they keep landing in front of me.

There seem to be a lot about

I've noticed a lot of them recently. I don't know if they're particularly doing well, as they seem to be; or perhaps it's just that roadside verges are happy hunting grounds, and they're being forced into a narrow area by lack of prey elsewhere. The first would be good (unless you're a vole), the second much less so. But it does seem to me that there are more about this year...
