Calm

Unusual weather down there. Looks flat calm. A very rare event. I was there for 4 months in 'Summer' and we only had 3 days of calm.

weather

A very sheltered site (an oasis of calm surrounded by Tussac) on a windy day. Today ... well the wind is raging !

A hardy breed! Is John Willy still at Walker Creek?

Chat

Probably not the right place for an extended chat but would love to be remembered to JW.
He helped us in loads of ways when I was fishing for crabs down there in 88. He also introduced us to a lot of the birdlife. Caracaras, Turkey Vultures, Upland and Brent geese, Teal ducks, Black Swans, 'Robins' as he called them and much more. A good man all round. He was manager of the Walker Creek settlement with wife Phyliss. He will recognise my name I hope. I think I'm the only Trev in Devon that he will have met. Cheers
