Mostly orange red with blue-black markings as seen in the photo. Apologies for terrible image! Presumed sawfly or wasp (can't quite tell if it has a waist).

The wing venation and the antennae with lots of segments make me think this is more likely to be a parasitic wasp of some sort - certainly not an insect I recognise I'm afraid!

Thanks for looking anyway :) Without a better photo or a specimen I doubt I'll get any further, but I now have slightly more idea how to look through the parasitica so I'll keep digging.
