Confidence: I'm as sure as I can be.
Notes: A very large bird, 3 feet from tip of bill to tip of tail. 8lb 13oz in weight. Wingspan when stretched out was 55 inches, just over 4.5 feet. Flattened forehead. Quite fresh, found dead on the shoreline today. Something has already tried to dine on it as there is a piece of skin lying beside it, maybe a hooded crow or a gull. "Diagnostically the bare yellowish skin around a Cormorant's bill extends around its eye." From the following webpage:- http://www.birdguides.com/species/species.asp?sp=017004
