Description:

Lots of self-set Sycamore seedlings in amongst the planting... brown bark (compare to the smooth grey Ash seeding to the right, first photo) with twigs in opposite pairs, with each pair being at right angles to the pair below.
Could be confused with the other Acers (Norway and Field) but they both have red buds, whereas Sycamore has bright yellowy/greeny buds.
