Description:

Intensely isidiate foliose lichen growing on beech. Can anyone confirm that this is Parmelia saxatilis, please?

Probably

It looks like P. saxatilis, most likely that but just might be P. ernstiae, but a clear view of the surface features needed.

NB. P. saxatilis is isidiate, not sorediate.
