These photos are of an Ash tree in my garden, located at the top of the Malvern Hills, (900ft). What is the fungus and is it telling me anything I need to know about the health of the tree!
It is just on one relatively small limb, the rest looks to be fine at the moment

Turkeytail is a saprotrophic

Turkeytail is a saprotrophic fungus so only effects dead wood.

Thanks for the fast ident, seems a very appropriate name from the images. Looks like I will need to monitor the tree, or at least that part come the spring?
