A quick look under a couple of logs, showed the vast size differences in the springtail family. Not a great photographic shot, but this should give you an idea of how small some can be. The largest springtail here is probably no more than 7-8mm.

You've also got orchesella cincta

Entomobrya albocincta in the first picture,

Then that and the much larger Orchesella cincta in the second picture.
