Yet another Cladonia growing on a drystane dyke to which I can't put a name. Any suggestions, please? (And does anyone know a good source of info about these lichens?)
Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
but the podetia are not in sharp focus and critical details are not visible. I cannot rule out a few other species.
As for sources, I am slowly working on something myself, but "slowly" is the key word here - I am still chasing up a number of species and much more photography to do. There are useful websites (including a lot more to add to mine), and I understand that volume 5 of the Nordic Lichen Flora will be on Cladonia.
No time to expand on this now, but I may put something in the forum.
Your website is usually my first port of call, especially when I have some idea of which family I'm looking at. I find it tremendously valuable and would look forward to seeing it extended. Very many thanks for all the work you put into it.
Being very much a beginner in this area I have to admit that my heart sinks slightly at the thought of 5 (or more?) volumes. I guess that level of detail is beyond my aspirations.
