Description:

Cladonia growing amongst moss on a drystane dyke. Not sure which Cladonia: C. coniocraea looks like the nearest match bit I'm not convinced. Help, please.

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Sorry to keep harping on this, but get close, steady the camera. Fine details of the podetial surface are IMPORTANT.

I agree!

You are absolutely right, Alan. My only defence is that all this big batch of photos were taken on a single day with a relatively new camera that I'm still getting to grips with. Not quite as steep a learning curve as I'm having with lichens!
