There are 2 very similar species on mainland S America. It's not 100% clear which is the common one in the Falklands.
With the info available at the moment, it's probably L. alboffii, which had been misidentified in the past so is in all the books as L. magellanicum.
The name L. alboffii doesn't yet appear in any literature associated with the Falklands Flora, so I'm a bit ambivalent about which to use ATM.
