I suspect people will not think this one is readable (although squinting at it enough I think I can get a number from it). Post your suggested numbers in comments below.
Consensus seems to be that this is wing tag 43, a female (named 'swift') a bird which as recently been the partner of wing tag 15 (http://www.ispot.org.uk/node/311495) who in turn was the pattern of wing tag 16 (http://www.ispot.org.uk/node/311275). Bit of a love triangle in my recent sightings then.

Interesting, I now ...

... agree with 43 having had it pointed out but I was struggling to see anything on my own. Certainly agree with the 4.

Red Kite love triangle

It is generally thought that red kites, like many birds, pair for life.

The love life of Red Philip, Flag and Swift prove this theory wrong, as their individual histories show:http://friendsofredkites.org.uk/page13.htm#a

Clearly Red Philip is an excellent father and, with his two partners, has raised ten chicks, the first one being the first red kite chick to be born in the north for 170 years. He was named Geordie! We are delighted to see these kites still in their core area.

Observing Nature lifts the spirits!
Caring for our Red Kites is a privilege!
