Adult Female 0119 Milvus milvus (Linnaeus) (Red Kite) with wing tag pink/yellow 16 - Derwent Walk, Durham (VC 66), 22nd December 2012

Not a brilliant picture and a species already on iSpot a lot but since this one can be identified as a specific bird I thought I'd include it here.
Wing tag indicates that this bird (Flag) was a female collected from the Chilterns and released in the North-east in 2004 as part of the Northern Kites project. Has bred successfully on several occasions (with the bird shown here http://www.ispot.org.uk/node/311495) Seen frequently around the area.

A subsequent sighting of this bird is at http://www.ispotnature.org/node/776331
