I have put it up on the Diptera.info site. Wing venation has me thinking that it is not of the genus Phaonia, but I could be eating humble pie again.

Gona have to slow down, for indeed you are correct. I did no look any further than the first round of the carousel, yet went through 20 pages of Muscidae on Dipera.info. Seriously, just one click on "more", hmmm. Anyway for my troubles I found this, Phaonia fuscata, a good match, I think, what do reckon..?
