Mucoid material

We have been finding this around the sides of a pond where Buzzards and Tawny Owls have been catching frogs since late December.

i inadvertently mowed over a frog whilst cutting lawn.It was a bit mangled but still frog shaped. A few days later it had been entirely subsumed under jelly.Almost certainly the jelly,, so called space jelly, originates from frogs.Iwas suprised that the nat history museum recently declared themselves unsure of it's origin.
