Larvae develops in dead/dying

A Longhorn Beetle whose larvae develop in dead/dying timber, I've often found it emerging from small diam. material upto 5cm (2")in diam. here in Leicester.

When was this beetle actually observed? The date given is today's, 29/12/2012. Adults are normally observed between May to July!
