Chalcid

On the present occasion, small globular springtails were particularly obvious on leaf and other surfaces – suggestive (only) of them being hosts. Temperature nearby: approx. 10 degrees, the inference being that the wasp can stay active in winter if the temperature is above a certain threshold. Observations made after a period of significant rain.
