Description:

This skull is in our local museum as a "large unidentified skull".
I have tried to identify it with the pictures in Marine Mammals of the World on the internet.
I think it might be Bottlenose Dolphin but the length is a bit short, more like a Harbour Porpoise.
It has no teeth but holes for 27 or 28.
There is no indication of where it came from.
Is it possible for some one to identify it from these pictures?

I see no reason why it should

I see no reason why it should not be a porpoise. It has far too many teeth to be pilot whale and the beak is too short in relation to the cranium to be a bottle-nosed dolphin.
