Coconut-scented gorse - possibly my favourite wild smell.

The smell is forever associated for me, with my memory of 'paying a visit' (have a care in gorse!) to a 'whin-brake' near Minsmere beach, in May 1984, only to see what was my second ever marsh harrier float up from the marshes, whilst still in full-flow (so to speak) and unable to get to my binoculars.

A life with wildlife is made of remembrances such as these!
