Green Amaranth (Amaranthus hybridus)
Description:

Leaves reminiscent of Himalayan Balsam.. According to NBM this is scarce, and by my reckoning could be a new recording for VC53 (South Lincolnshire)

Wrong..

..distribution assessment based on misinformation. Having checked with the current NBM records it is relatively common in the south, getting scarcer the further north you go.

It's not exactly common anywhere ...

... but it's commonest in the south east (West Suffolk and Hertfordshire especially), with an outlier in south Staffordshire.

The BSBI mapping project shows 2 records in South Lincolnshire and 1 in North Lincolnshire (one near Holbeach and one north of Grantham).
