I saw several of these incredibly well camouflaged grasshoppers (usually only after they'd taken off and flown a few yards) on a dry scrubby slope near the coast of Samos (a Greek island but within sight of Turkey). Can anyone ID it or suggest a good web resource that might help me narrow it down? Several Oedipoda and Sphingonotus sp. look very similar to me, but this has what may be a distinctive dark collar t the front of the pronotum, the rest pale buff. I don't really remember what colour the wings were when they flew; not blue for sure, probably red.
