Found growing on a dead log alongside a long disused railway cutting, very damp and dark.

Was the cap ridged at all as though the fruit body had shrunk?
There were two of them together, the one on the left appeared to have been eaten by something and the one on the right was starting to decay so it was difficult to say if they were slightly ridged at all.
Check the photos of Rhodotus palmatus and see if these could be an example of a past it's best one of these
