Plain brown mushrooms growing amongst moss on the landward side of sand dunes at Thornham Point, Norfolk. Cap of the larger specimen 2.5cm in diameter and smooth. The gills are slightly paler brown than the cap, adanate, crowded and different lengths. The stipe is 3cm long and 3mm in diameter. It is slightly darker than the mushroom it self, cylindrical and hollow. The mushroom has an earthy smell and the spore print is brown.


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
