Any comments on this will be great as far from certain if my ID is correct. Found on wooden stakes just past high tide mark in a salmarsh area. Thanks.
Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems you have deleted several observations, including an earlier observation of this species, after users had added identifications, agreements and comments.
I can honestly say that I have not deleted anything I have uploaded.
I have had a quick look and it does seem that some of my uploads have disappeared, which I can not understand and I will be informing the iSpot team in due course.
Using iSpot enables beginners like me to learn and pick up information about my uploads which is greatly appreciated - I am always very grateful to anyone who responds to my uploads.
Hope that clears the situation and this issue doesn't happen in the future.
Sorry for jumping to conclusions! Disappearing observations are a worry, but no doubt the iSpot team will have it sorted soon. I hope so, because your lichen macro shots are too good to lose (a touch of camera envy creeping in here).
No worries, thank you for pointing out the 'lost' uploads!
Having other uploads to compare images against is a big part of me been able to put names to species and of course, more expert users posting suggestions/comments is invaluable.
