Mushroom to scale

Found as a number of fruiting bodies in a circle in the lawn. Excess water from rain water harvesting tubs has recently been poured onto the lawn.


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

just checking its not cantharellus tubaeformis, one of those that would be much easier to tell in the hand than from a photo.

The orange flesh and pinky/orange band around the top of the stem helps.

This was the reason I choose the id I find both on a regular basis and can tell the difference.I tend to put likely on when it is something I am identifying for someone else as there is not usually enough info and I have not seen it in the flesh which makes a great difference I do believe that my identification is correct.
