Ctenarytaina spatulata female
Description:

As far as I am aware this species is not on the British Psyllid list. It is found in Europe on Eucalyptus spp. as was in my garden. A specimen was collected from the tree in my garden and was sent to Dr Joe Botting, who determined it as C. spatulata, c 2009. However on submitting his determination to the UK national recorder for Psyllids the ID was not accepted. This denial was based on the specimen being a female. I was in return asked to supply a male specimen, unfortunately I failed to find one. More unfortunate was the winter of 2010/11, -15º C in my garden was not uncommon. The eucalyptus succumbed as did all trees of that spp. in my local. Sadly it was also the end of my attempts to locate a male the demise of the tree also applied to Ctenarytaina spatulata. Make of this what you will, but for me it will still be Ctenarytaina spatulata.
