Description:

A series of small bracket fungi, growing on a cut log (it looked like coniferous wood but I cannot be sure). The raised central bit in the centre looked unusual.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

With most id's it is more

With most id's it is more likely to get a result with a photo of the underside.

Agreed, I just thought that the shape of these was quite distinctive so that I would soon find a match in Roger Phillips. The underside was white with very fine round pores only visible by hand lens.
