OK, Hard Fern is one of the easier ones to ID... but it's a start!
So, Mike, you and I now know this one: single fronds, deeply lobed (not actually pinnate), grows in a tuft, likes acidic habitats.
Yer i like the ferns as well. be nice to get the more common ones nailed.

Ferns seems to need photos from above, from the side of the clump, and a close up of the underside of the frond, if you could bear that in mind while you're out looking for them....
