Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
I know not to eat this one,, but has anyone got any unusual facts of the Fly Agaric fungi...????
Possibly all untrue.
Aparently one of the effects of the chemicals in it (if they do not kill you) is to cause exaggerate muscular efforts, so people jump high etc. after taking it. One story is that reindeer used to eat it and having the same effect jump onto roofs etc. The origins of that part of Santa perhaps.
Apparently also the harmful part of the chemicals is broken down by the bodies digestive process but the hallucinogenic properties are not. So if you consume the urine of someone who has eaten it you can get high without the disadvantage of the risk of death from eating the fungus itself.
Don't try this at home.
