tiny black (what I first thought was eggs) the size of a pin head, some look tow toned black and clear, growing from a log. I assume its some kind of fungi


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

No interactions present.

I don't really know but...

... maybe a myxomycete? (Slime mould - not really a fungus, but they tend to be thought of as fungi)

Very cool pictures anyway - I thought they were ants until I looked closely!

I think there are a few possibilities here. I would want to look at it under a microscope to be sure.
