Bonnet ? Mycena aetites

Observed: 18th November 2012 By: anonymous spotter

Several found early this morning coated in frost on a shingle bank around a gravel pit at Snettisham RSPB reserve. They were growing on moss with no trees in the vicinity just rabbit cropped grass. They had an earthy smell. The bell-shaped, smooth cap of the mushroom in the second picture is 2cm in diameter. The pale gills are adenate, distant and of different lengths. The stipe is 4cm long, smooth, cylindrical, has no rings and is hollow.
