Nemesia is a South African

Nemesia is a South African genus from the Scrophulariaceae. There are somewhere between 60 and 70 species and very many cultivars and hybrids used a lot in summer bedding displays.

Persistence pays off

Well done with persisting in your search for this plants name, it's always nice when something unusual finally get correctly identified on iSpot, So after looking it up I have agreed with your identification.

Just in case someone else tries to look it up on the Malta Wild plant website (http://Maltawildplants.com/) it is listed there under its synonym of Lippia nodiflora. Also it is an introduced plant to Malta and is a native of the tropical/ subtropical areas of the Americas.
