Description:

I saw this particularly active hymenopteran today, flitting from leaf to leaf. The end of the abdomen is pointed but I hesitate to describe it as an ovipositor. A male in search of a female?

Possible diplazontine

Thanks for that. I have been on the lookout for diplazontines as parasites of Syrphid larvae.
